Web 1.0

Web 1.0 is the first stage of the World Wide Web evolution, prevalent from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s. It features static HTML pages with limited interactivity. Websites were largely read-only, serving as digital brochures where users could consume content but not interact with it. This era emphasized content delivery over user engagement, with little support for dynamic elements or user-generated content. Information flow was predominantly one-way, from the creator to the consumer. Unlike later iterations, Web 1.0 lacked the social networking and user-driven contributions that define the modern internet landscape.
